Your students will love our hands on educational program utilizing Sunshine State Standards, covering plant structures benchmarks. Instructed by former teachers with more than 30 years of experience."Nana's Storytime" is also an option for Pres-school, Kindergarten, and First graders and will enjoy picking a munchkin pumpkin from our pumpkin patch (if crop is successful).
Upon arrival at the maze, follow arrows that will direct you to the parking area. At that time please send one representative from your group to the information booth located at the concession stand to discuss further directions and pay for tickets prior to unloading.
We ask that you please make sure your children are wearing some type of group identification, (i.e. t-shirt, name badge, armband) and please have them buddy up before exiting the bus/cars.
For groups with more than 20, we suggest breaking into small groups of approximately 10-15 kids with 1-2 chaperons. In addition, there will be one Coon Hollo staff member (wearing bright orange staff shirts) at each activity.
These groups can then be rotated between the following 20-30 minute duration activities: Agriculture Education Lesson, Nana’s Story Time, Crop Maze, Farm Train/ Hay Fort/ Farmyard Playground, ØHayride (feed cows)/Pumpkin Patch.
Admission for groups with more than or equal to 20 people will be $5.00/child and one chaperon free for every 20 students.
If group leaders choose to allow children to purchase from the concession stand and Nana’s Country Store, make them aware there will be $.25, $.50 and $1.00 items for sale.
Groups may bring packed lunches for a picnic or Coon Hollo Concessions can provide a $3.oo lunch with advanced notice.
